The Marikamba Collection — Chapter 01

Wooden Mandir for Home

Custom pooja mandiras & mantapas, hand-carved to order

A mandira is not furniture. It is the quiet centre of a home — a small temple, built with the same discipline as a large one.

Every pooja mandira that leaves our Sirsi atelier begins as a conversation: the deity it will house, the direction it will face, the home it will live in. From there our carvers work the way their teachers taught them — proportion first, ornament second, patience always.

Domes, pillars, toranas and finials are carved by hand and fitted with traditional joinery, so the piece can be assembled, moved and reassembled across generations. Whether a compact wall mandira or a free-standing mantapa with gopuram crowns, each one is built to be inherited.
