The Marikamba Collection — Chapter 04
Wooden Pallaki
The pallaki carries what a community holds most sacred — so it must be worthy of the honour.
Our wooden palanquins are built for utsavas and processions: carved arches and canopies over a structure engineered to be carried on shoulders for hours. Strength is hidden inside the ornament; the carving never compromises the carry.
From simple arched frames to fully carved canopied pallakis, each piece is made to order for the deity, the route and the bearers it will serve.
