The Marikamba Collection — Chapter 07
Wooden Simhasana
A simhasana is a seat of honour — carved to elevate, to frame and to endure.
We craft wooden simhasanas for deities in temples and home mandiras: lion-bracketed thrones, carved backrests and canopied seats, proportioned to the murti they will hold. Each is made to measure, never from a template.
Every piece shown here left our workshop in Sirsi as seasoned timber and was carved, fitted and finished entirely by hand. Commissions are welcome in any scale.
